Pitaji….one true saintly man !

Im not that able enough to write a tribute for him or just say how great a person he was…for whatever i may say…how much of his greatness may i share…it would all be just too less…

but as a grandson, all i can say is…Pitaji, forgive me for all the mistakes i may hv committed while taking care of you…for all those moments when maybe i couldnt just see, the pain you were going through…for those times, we couldnt hear what you couldnt say…i’ll forever try to follow the basic humanitarian principles you’ve always strived for and try to be a better human being always…

miss you a lot…ur room feels so empty now…d whole house feels empty…but alongwith that, i can sense that mayb Waheguru ji helped you get rid of your pain…of your physically ill body that was troublin you so much…n most of d times, we cudnt just stop feelin helpless about it…

we all pray that god rewards you for all the troubles that you had to bear in this life, inspite of you being such a true saint…a puuran gursikh khalsa…ajj, at d paath also, i was jus recollectin all d endless stories everyone would tell about great a person you were..!

writin dis blog…i feel so so small, so kiddish…coz im jus feelin jus so short of words to write about you you really cant put someones greatness into mere letters! not possible…atleast not for me…

But pitaji, i’ll for sure make you proud one day!! I don’t really know how much happiness i was able to give you…sadly, since the time i was born, you’ve been sick and kept most of your time devoted to gurbani and paath…n no doubts, your prayers helped our family flourish and progress…i guess, your prayers made god forgive our sins and bless us with such a beautiful life…and i’ll try to make it more beautiful for my parents now…

May Waheguru ji bless your soul to rest in peace, pitaji. We’ll always miss your physical presence, although we know, your blessings will always be there with us.

Thankyou for blessing us with such a beautiful life and esp., me and isha, with such wonderful parents.

finalli i had good day today ! not that the earlier ones weren’t good..but they were’nt good either   i feel content today…started the day early…early to work…french class in d afternoon…gym in the evening…did manage to catch up wid a few friends too, later in the evening

a lil’ guitar strummin bfore dinner was laid…a nice walk with parents post dinner…some imp. family issues had to b discussed and sorted out…finalli i did manage not to get excited while discussin…cz i generally den end up arguing…!

n now….im bloggin too yeaa!! aftr quite sometime, im here….wid my own usual self

i guess….im startin to like it once again

P.S. – i was jus rushin into life…tryin to make things happen for me…! bt yea, nw ive learnt d lesson…i worked on myself…n things r workin fr me… !! i love you God   (dnt take me wrong…i love u waise bhi generally ..hehe) ….n no doubt Pitaji, ur blessings obviously make d magic happen

You are cordially invited to the ‘Green Film Festival’ being organised by Humlog in association with STEPS on 13th and 14th June
at Auditorium, Govt Museum and art Gallery Auditorium,Sector 10.

Aim of the festival is to sensitize the citizens to various Environmental
issues which somehow affect their lives directly or indirectly.
The films to be screened in the 2 day festival
are critically acclaimed films on topics ranging from :
wildlife conservation,Urban environmental conservation and indigenous
farming techniques.

Worth mentioning here is that Humlog has been using the tools of development
communications specially through the medium of low budget films to raise
voice against local Environmental and health issues. Screening films from
other parts of the country helps the people realize the importance of the
Environmental conservation.

August shall see ‘Chhota Mooh Badi Baat-2′ ,the festival of Humlog
again in collaboration with STEPS that shall bring cinema of activism
to the city once again like last year but in much bigger
format.

Trust the ‘ME’ in me

The body of an Indian Justice Party (IJP) nominee for the Jaunpur Lok Sabha constituency was found hanging from a tree.Forty-eight-year-old Bahadur Sonkar’s body was found near Raja Ka Talab, barely 500 metres from his home in Ahiyapur-Rasheedabad locality, 200 km from here.
The tragic death of Sonkar has sparked off protests by party supporters and family members, according to whom a ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate is responsible for the killing.

Sonkar, who was contesting against the BSP’s Dhananjay Singh, had reportedly been concerned about his safety and had even asked for police protection from the Election Commission.
IJP President Udit Raj has blamed the Election Commission for the death, as they did not provide security
to the candidate even after repeated requests.

If this is the substance, what the leaders of the world’s largest democracy are made of, im really ashamed to be even an inifintesimally small part of this whole system (using the word democracy sounds like a joke). Now what bothers me even more is, why is this sudden uproar about using the ‘Power to Vote’ !? Why so much of money being spent by endless dozens of corporate firms – small, mid sized or large…sending out the same message in their internal/external communication – VOTE ! VOTE !! VOTE !!! Why the never ending Lead India 09 campaign ads of ‘Power of Vote’ !

What to do when this is the kind of choices one has to select a leader ?! I know most of you would say, the only solution would be jump urself into the dirty game if you want to make it even a bit more cleaner! Totally agree! Just being a mere spectator would not be of any use, like a cycle waala stopping over to analyse the accident situation & then moving on with his journey..

But is this the only way out ?! Is this the only solution ?!?!

If i want to Vote ! If i want good honest leaders to lead the Nation ! If i want the politics to be free of such criminals who’ve murdered people emotionally/mentally or even for real!..just as a step closer towards their “Kursi” …What can i do ?

The only thing that comes to my mind is maybe..More Awareness! More Noise !! More Activism !!!

Even though the Sikh journo Jarnail Singh apologised for his ‘Shoe-cide’ attack on the Home minister Mr. P. Chindambaram, the fire within the hundreds and thousands of sikh mothers, wives, sisters who lost their sons, husbands, brothers in the Anti-Sikh massacre of 1984 can’t be brought down easily.

The ’84 killings were mercilessly planned and executed by the state, with a breathtaking disregard for governance and constitutional rights. After this bloodbath, the state and its partners-in-crime preferred to forget the bloody drama they had enacted.

Are the lives of innocent men, women and children of so little consequence to politicians and men in public office that they can be brutally murdered en masse in the country’s capital for over four days before an effort is made to stop the killings? Does it then have to take nearly 25 years and 10 inquiry commissions to book the guilty for the chilling inhumanity against the Sikhs who, since the 1700s, have shed more blood for their motherland than any other people?

Rewindin today’s episode @ The Open Hand Monument – the symbolic structure of Chandigarh, makes me remeber the dialouge in the recently released movie ‘Gulaal’.

n after fighting out our way to the Open Hand Monument (officially a public place esp. for the citizens of chandigarh)…i realized how correct this dialouge was..

Mission : To Visit the Open Hand Monument (Chandigarh city’s official emblem) on foot.

Comrades : Dr. Gaurav, Sawan, Prashant n Me.

Status : Successful.

Visiting our city’s official emblem “Open Hand Monument” needs an official permission from some officer in sector 9 in some govt. office through some process which a normal ‘someone’ like us would obviously hesitate to go through and thus refrain from visiting this absolutely fabulous symbolic structure of Chandigarh! My City !!

This is wat all d crap the PCR officials posted at the so called “Only High Court Judges” entry told us..”Permission kahaan hai”…”orders hain aap nai jaa sakte”…”terrorsists ki vajah se security hai”…”hamaare paas written order nai hai, but aapke paas kaunsa jaane ka order hai..” <– Crap : Do we need orders to move around in our own city!!

After givin us all kinda crap, Doc decided to shoot all dis in his handycam…fumblin at dis, d officials askd us to speak to d inspector incharge..n as he spoke, d inspector arrived dere…quickly analysin d situation in a snapshot..esp. wid d cameras in our hands, d inspector was smart enough to say “Nai nai, jao jao…aap jaa sakte ho…paedal (on foot) toh jaa sakte ho..bus bags ki checkin kara lo” !

N dere we were…wid our faces gleamin wid happiness n a sense of achievement on our way to the Open Hand ! The structure undoubtedly gives you such a pleasure, a sense of belongingness, a feelin of love n warmth of being a part of Chandigarh…of being a “Chandigarhian” !

n thanks to dese corrupt lazy officials dat jus play around wid d laws demselves and foolish educated citizens like us, who jus compromise wid each and everythin told to us..dat we stop questionin someone who challenges our rights !!

So…guys ! Time to wake up !!!! Don’t just blindly take the easy way out of compromising with anyone n everyone who restricts your freedom n challenges your basic rights! Take the courage n responsibility of questioning and findin out the real facts !!

P.S. : If you get time, for sure visit the The Open Hand. If the cops try to stop you or ask you to go through some other way from the High court after gettin some crap pass n all…Jus let us knw…! We’ll also come along then but not thru’ the High court wid a pass n all…but through the right path!! d one dat Le Corbusier had designed for the common Chandigarhian !

i dont give a damn !

Weird things have been happening around me  or rather i should say ‘to me’ of late…Ive started doing things i never wanted to and never did…like faking to b someone im not…faking to b happy for somethin i knw, im not…n in d end messing up everythin.. !

which was the last thing i wanted to do…coz all my fake smiles, excuses, work style..was to appear as a nice someone…to appear as a goodie-goodie person wid whom no one would hv any grudges..about whom no one would bitch…to whom, everyone would look upto…hahha…n in d end, wat happens is quite d opposite !

So, here on dis “Fools day” , i pledge to myself…No more FAKING ! No more Fake ‘Nicey-nicey’ boy..! time to cut d sh*t happenin around…n prove myself…if im doing somethin i like, im no more gonna hide it…if im chasin my dreams, d world can make all kinds of faces n bitch abt me…bt i dont care…cz im nt gnna gve some crappy stories to cover my failures…cz wat troubles me d most is not wat ppl say about me…but d uneasiness abt somethin dat i say abt myself..which isnt exactly correct…bt just said, cz dats wat d society wants to hear…dats wat would go thru’ deir one ear n come outta d other widout any trouble to d brain…thus, escapin all d useless When? Where? How? What? questions…

I knw im not a fake person…bt jus dat d way ive been handling my professional stuff..i.e.my career n all…hasnt been quite well…so i guess ive been going wrong somewhere..ive been takin sh*t wen i didnt deserve to…ive given ppl sh*t wen dey didnt deserve to…ive had fck-ups wid my career wen i didnt have to…all dis, cz each time somethin happened…instead of being myself, i searched around for d perfect way to handle d situation…i looked fr a situation dat would jus erase out d problem or atleast erase me out of d problem in d easiest way…but yea, i for sure forgot, if uve landed up in mess, u hv to get dirty, even to get out…!

So..now..im gonna jus carry around my true self…handle situations d way i think dey would b handled best…im not gonna be egoistic…bt i want to have d courage in myself to face d problems i create for others/myself…to own up my faults..to hv d sense to correct wat ive dne wrong!

…..and for what others would think of me…for what ppl would talk about what i did…

Dolly still has d firm belief that love is all fake stuff…or to be precise, one can be committed to one person fr d rest of his/her life…..even though applyin d same to my own self, i wud strongly support her argument but den, you cant just generalise somethin dat u and the other 100 odd people around you think is true !!

i mean…there could be relationships where ppl never fell outta love…dere cud be examples, where a person remain committed to his job in d same company, years on years….dere cud be  hundreds n hundreds of stories whr ppl lived up to deir committments….who sacrificed a lot fr d same too….

bt den wat i’ve noticed n analysed myself is….dat most of d times, aftr ppl r mentally nt able to match up to d committment, dey still pretend to live upto it physically…fr d sake of society…fr d sake of wat others wud think !!! dis ends up nowhere except in a total mess !!!

i jus believe dat…if u see no way ahead…stop and part away peacefully n wid love…if u see obstacles ahead bt hv d courage to fight it n move on….discuss it out n CHARGE !!

bt wen life hits u right in d face….dn jus look fr cover….don look fr excuses…dn look fr someone’s shadow to blame up….cowards do dat !!

d highly unstable “relation-ship” ends frm being a perfect family-entertainer bollywood movie to a dark, shady tragic musical……..so things shud be kept jus black or white , if u knw u aint matured enough to study d grey regions !!!!!

Its jus so so true….the youth today realli has no direction…but do we realli blame d youth (as i do most of d times)….or is it the circumstances…is it d environment around…is it the govt…d family…or d whole world moving towards materialism…

we’re growin old in our twenties onli…d world fr d youth is jus …alcohol, drugs n sex….bringin a stage of stagnancy… killin d curiosity n creativity of d mind…killin d child inside us…killin d brain’s inquisitiveness.. !!

As a child…we sought learnin at each n every small thing..whether it was a trip to d market..or d first day at school…was jus like a thirst that could never be quenched !

but now…the thirst itself has dried up….not that the resources arent there…but the urge has gone..! maybe its the contentment of having known everythin…or rather, sheer laziness….

end point being…somethins missin…rather, jus somethn’s dere…rest all’s missin !!!! …..

Still…i’m fightin hard…nt to let the thirst dry out…not to let the flame die…!
